My inventory is catalogued in "alpha-numeric" order, which is to say that they are filed alphabetically by record label and then numerically within that label.
The long shelving unit you see beleow is 16 feet long with 6 levels for a total of 96 linear feet. Based on an average of 75 records per foot; that gives me space for about 7,200 records.
This is the first section starting with "A".

I have enough space for another 96 boxes in the centre of the room. This give me another 6720 records based on 70 records per box.

As I sell records, the remaining records are re-sorted.
Most of the records have been examined several times for condition grading and quality, but if I find a record does not live up to my grading standard it is donated to a local Goodwill or Salvation Army store, or I use it as packing protection for other shipments.
